Privacy Statement

Guardian Training Services is committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality and security of the personal information that you provide to us. On occasions, the organisation is required to release information to other government agencies or authorities for governance, training and statistical purposes. (See declaration below). If under the age of 18 years, this form must be signed by a parent/guardian to complete this enrolment.

Student Concessions

For some courses, if you hold a health care or pension card issued under Commonwealth law or you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander you may be eligible for partial exemption of student fees. Guardian Training Services administration office will be able to answer any questions you may have about student concessions.

Issuance of Certificates, Statements of Results and Statements of Attainment

A student will not be issued with a certificate, statement of results and/or statement of attainment (whichever is applicable) until full payment for the course/unit undertaken has been received.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Needs

Guardian Training Services recognises that some people in the community may have Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) difficulties. In response to this, enrolling students who indicate that they require support in this area will be provided with information on available LLN courses and referral to counselling services.

Fees & Refund Policy

Guardian Training Services is committed to delivering the highest quality training and assessment services at competitive pricing. We have adopted the following policies so that we can maintain competitive pricing for all students.

Fees

Fees must be paid prior to the commencement of your training program (if the fees are greater than $1000.00 we will work with you to develop a payment plan). A non-refundable administration fee will apply to all courses (except apprentices or trainees under the User Choice training program). Fees for trainees training under a User Choice or other strategic purchasing program contract are payable as per the Organisation/Student & RTO training payment plan completed by relevant parties on traineeship induction/enrolment.

Refund Policy

The following table outlines reasons why a refund may be requested and the amount of tuition fees that are refunded to the student by Guardian Training Services. If the student is unable to attend due to extended hospitalisation/illness and/or pregnancy/childbirth – a full refund will be given, less the administration fee (a medical certificate is to be provided to Guardian). Should Guardian Training Services cancel a course, participants are entitled to a full refund or to transfer funds to another/future course. In this event, students will be given their preferred option. Refunds of amounts owed to students will be made within 14 working days. Students enrolled in an apprenticeship or traineeship under a User choice funded program will receive a full refund of tuition fees for training delivery that has not commenced at the time of cancellation. Where an apprentice or trainee withdraws from a unit of competency a proportionate refund will be provided. This agreement and the availability of the complaints and appeals procedure do not remove the student’s rights to take action under Australia’s consumer protection laws. Guardian Training Services dispute resolution process does not circumscribe the student’s right to pursue other legal remedies. The student can refer to Guardian Training Services’ complaints and appeals procedure if they wish to appeal the refund policy. Tuition fees are not transferable to another person or institution. There is no refund for unsuccessful RPL applicants. Refunds will not be issued for a change in student work hours, inconvenience of travel to class or students who leave before finishing a course/unit. Requests for refunds may be made via phone, email, mail or in person. Under no circumstances can fees be refunded after a student has been issued with a Certificate, Statement of Results, and/or Statement of Attainment. Where an employer or another entity has paid the student fees on their behalf, conditions of refund are contained within the negotiated agreement.
